Mission MISSION The World Organization of Associated Sovereign Independent States -- World-OASIS -- is an international organization dedicated to the advancement and continued independence and viability of the small independent nation states under financial and economic attack by the large nation states such as the U.S., the U.K., France, Germany, etc., under the guise of "the war on terrorism", "the war on drugs", "money laundering" and other "financial crimes". OASIS is committed to the principles of political and economic freedom worldwide, the free flow of persons and capital worldwide, and reducing the political and economic power and control of the large nation-states over the smaller nation-states and individuals worldwide. For background information regarding the genesis of the idea and the impetus for forming OASIS, there are several sources. One of the most important is the book 'The Sovereign Individual' by James Dale Davidson and Sir William Rees-Mogg."> MODEL The organizational model for OASIS is similar to that of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), except as discussed below. "OPEC is an intergovernmental organization dedicated to the stability and prosperity of the petroleum market, as enshrined in the OPEC Statute. OPEC Membership is open to any country which is a substantial net exporter of oil and which shares the ideals of the Organization." Other possible organizational models are the United Nations (U.N.), the Organization of American States (OAS), the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), etc. I've considered the OAS model, for comparison, and have settled on a modified OPEC model. OPEC, except for its token concession to political correctness in modern times, the OPEC Fund, has as its single-minded purpose the advancement and viability of its Member Countries. The vehicle for this is influencing petroleum prices by (attempting to) controlling the supply through quotas assigned to Member Countries. While not functioning perfectly because there are other major producing nations that are not members and because of, shall we say, "fudging" by Member Countries at various times, undoubtedly the Member Countries are better off in receiving commensurate value for their resources than if there were not an OPEC. Other organizations such as the UN and OAS are comprised of nations with generally no mutual interests -- a conglomeration of large nations, small nations, wealthy nations, poor nations, somewhat free nations, and outright totalitarian nations. The only common objective I can see is that of the ruling elite, which is simply world domination, promoted by the major nations and aided by whichever third-world puppet "diplomat" is crowned Secretary General du jour. OASIS Member Countries would have as a common interest the maintenance of their independence and sovereignty and the continued viability of their main or major "industry" -- providing "tax haven" and various financial and business services offshore to businesses and individuals having some exposure to the high-tax, high-control would-be rulers of the world. A major difference, however, between the OPEC model and OASIS is that OPEC was founded in, shall we say, an "adversarial" manner vis-a-vis the petroleum companies operating in their nations. In contrast, there is a profound mutual interest between OASIS Member Countries and legitimate businesses and professionals operating banks, trust and IBC functions, etc., in their countries. OASIS type countries do not have a physical commodity in their business and financial services, but there is certainly no lack of demand for such services. If there were not, the high-tax, high-control nations, such as those of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), would not be so desperate to quash the availability of the services offered in OASIS type countries. The objective of OASIS is not to control (limit) the supply and prices of business and financial services, but to increase both the supply and demand of such services, and to ensure the continued availability of those services as provided by businesses and professionals in OASIS type countries by way of those countries regaining and maintaining their sovereignty and independence. AGENDA To accomplish the OASIS mission, I suggest agenda items such as the following, but not limited to the following, to be pursued by OASIS. These items fall into two main categories: First, increase the political, social, economic and financial freedom and sovereignty of individuals and small nation states relative to the large nation states (for brevity, hereinafter referred to as the OECD) and second, decrease the power of the OECD over individuals and small nation states. I suggest the main emphasis be placed on "cyberspace" methods designed to make the control attempts of the OECD superfluous. (See the review of and link 1 and link 2 to The Sovereign Individual by Davidson and Rees-Mogg, for more information and reviews.)
Selected and concerted political action could be useful.
