A Message from DB The World Organization of Associated Sovereign Independent States -- World-OASIS -- is an international organization dedicated to the advancement and continued independence and viability of the small independent nation states under financial and economic attack by the large nation states such as the U.S., the U.K., France, Germany, etc., under the guise of "the war on terrorism","the war on drugs", "money laundering" and other "financial crimes". OASIS solicits your suggestions regarding the final name to be determined for the organization, the form of the organization, sources of funding until the organization is formally established and funded by its member countries, and other of your concerns. OTHER ORGANIZATIONS Organizations that could serve as organizational models for OASIS include The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and The Organization of American States (OAS). Note that these organizations, especially the OAS, are extremely top-heavy and bureacratic. Also note that their objectives are not the same as those of OASIS, especially the OAS' at least nominal lip service to the "war on drugs" and submission to the U.S. posture on "financial crimes". This is not surprising, since the OAS membership includes the U.S., and the OAS is headquartered in Washington, D.C. I suggest that the OASIS headquarters NOT be, obviously, headquarted in some high-tax, high-control country such as the U.S. OPEC, for example is headquartered in Austria, which while not ideal, is somewhat better in its attitudes than the G-7 countries. As a model, OPEC has the advantage of a more specific focus, except for its "OPEC fund", than does the OAS. The OAS concerns itself with every "good cause" imaginable and with every aspect of its member nations' internal policies. I would suggest that OASIS model itself more on the lines of OPEC rather than those of the OAS. What are your suggestions, and why? Some links to selected OPEC and OAS documents follow:
BACKGROUND INFORMATION For background information regarding the genesis of the idea and the impetus for forming OASIS, there are several sources. One of the most important is the book "The Sovereign Individual" by James Dale Davidson and Sir William Rees-Mogg. ( Click here and/or here for more information.) It would be helpful, but not absolutely necessary, to have some familiarity with the above sources to increase the likely value of your suggestions. In any event, I do welcome your comments and suggestions. To your freedom and prosperity. |
